NHPC JE (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation – Junior Engineer) Exam Pattern 2025

📘 NHPC JE Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Type of Questions: Objective (MCQ)

  • Total Questions: 200

  • Total Marks: 200

  • Duration: 3 Hours (180 Minutes)

  • Marking Scheme:

    • ✅ 1 mark for each correct answer

    • ❌ 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

📌 Section-Wise Distribution

  1. Part I – Technical Discipline (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical)

    • Questions: 140

    • Marks: 140

    • Covers all core engineering subjects as per the respective discipline.

  2. Part II – General Awareness

    • Questions: 30

    • Marks: 30

    • Topics: Current Affairs, History, Polity, Geography, Economy, Environment, Sports, Important Dates & Events.

  3. Part III – Reasoning

    • Questions: 30

    • Marks: 30

    • Topics: Analogies, Series, Coding-Decoding, Puzzles, Blood Relation, Direction, Syllogism, Data Interpretation, etc.

✅ So the Technical Section (140/200 marks) is the most important part of the exam.
✅ Non-technical (Awareness + Reasoning = 60 marks) helps in cutoff clearance.
